Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW)
Established in 2002, the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) aims to give recognition to the efforts that scientists, inventors, and organizations are making in water-related fields, and to acknowledge exceptional and innovative scientific work which contributes to the sustainable availability of potable water and the alleviation of water scarcity throughout the world.
The Prize aims to inspire scientists and researchers to develop proactive, practical, and cost-effective means for making water available to people, wherever they may be.
The awards ceremony for the bi-annual Prize is held in conjunction with the opening ceremonies of ICWRAE. The Prize has been awarded three times, in 2004, 2006, and 2008. Nominations are now open for the 4th Award (2010).
